Anderecast is a web broadcast/podcast/film production project that is “based out of Berlin 44″ and is created by the folks at Unbekanntes Sektorformat, one of whom I happen to know. Anyway, their films are short snippets that involve Berlin, bedtime stories, singing nun teddybears and various things like that. They even spent a day hunting Nazis in Marzahn and Lichtenberg. Here is what they say about themselves…
“Anderecast is a completely freeform multimedia project largely in Internet video format. There are no rules nor is there an image to Anderecast. It is what it is and continues to grow on its own. We have many recurring special guests and characters.”
One of my favourite films in their collection seems to fit perfectly for an expat blog and is called “der Stuhl – die Stühle”. It would have made German lessons much more interesting had it been employed as a teaching aid. Check it out for yourself…
